DML COMPOSITES

DML has pioneered the use of advanced composite materials for the manufacture of new structures and for the strengthening and repair of existing assets, both within the UK and worldwide. These include bridges, trains, ships, blast walls, pipework and other structural repairs and applications. Our bespoke and cost-effective designs are fully engineered to meet each and every client's individual requirements.

Our manufacturing experience extends from lifeboats and superyachts to support structures for London Underground and 7 tonne components for the offshore industry.

Our strengthening and rehabilitation technology offers a cost-effective solution to the problems of corrosion, fatigue or impact damage, ageing structures and increased load requirements.

With over ten years project experience we have the know-how to complete work to time, cost and quality, driving projects from conceptual design through to installation. Design work has been subject to independent verification and third party checking on all major projects.

Broad base of experience

In the civil industry, the high strength to weight ratio of composites means that reinforcement can be rapidly applied with minimal disruption to associated services.

In the marine industry, a close relationship has been developed with the RNLI, as DML has progressed from refits to new builds. As with repairs completed to the UK's naval fleet, our workmanship is regularly tested in operation in the harshest environments, passing with flying colours.

In the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, our composite solutions ensure clients can optimise process efficiency by avoiding shutdowns and keeping assets earning. We have been instrumental in the worldwide introduction of composite materials for pipework repairs, tank rehabilitation and structural strengthening.
