The main aims of the Naval Support Group are to build on DMLs
successful business streams which include activities such as:

solutions for Trafalgar Class submarines |

Warship combat systems and external communications systems are
becoming increasingly sophisticated and inter-dependent. The task
of managing the complex integration issues that exist between
platform, equipment and operator requirements is especially important
in the delivery of affordable solutions that meet the Royal Navy's
operational demands.
DML has carried out a number of significant contracts to upgrade
communications systems on most types of RN platforms. These demonstrate
the company's ability to offer innovative solutions that meet
difficult and complex requirements that are firmly based upon
in-depth experience of working closely with the RN.
As a leading Support Partner with the Warship Support Agency
(WSA), DML has delivered technical solutions using Commercial
Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment in Open System Architectures (OSA).
This development of OSA using COTS technology is underpinned by
experienced engineers who successfully manage through-life support,
including issues such as obsolescence, technology refreshes, technology
insertions, configuration control and disposal, in addition to
the traditional role of maintenance, upkeep and repair.
DML is also expanding into the provision of logistic solutions
based upon its procurement expertise within the traditional refit
and repair business. Numerous commercially innovative solutions
have been developed to underpin Contract Logistics Support (CLS)
contracts based upon delivery to defined levels of availability.
As a 'platform-focussed' company, DML is independent of any equipment
suppliers and is therefore able to develop solutions that draw
from both commercial and defence equipment sectors.
